Assist the Grand Knight with specific Council activities & programs. Represents the Grand Knight in his absence.

CHANCELLOR

Assist the Grand Knight & Deputy Grand Knight in Council affairs. Works with Members to promote greater interest in Council activities

FINANCIAL SECRETARY

Duties and Responsibilities:
Appointed by the Supreme Knight. Ensures all funds are properly accounted for. Ensures all membership documents and dues are in order.

TREASURER

Duties and Responsibilities:
Receives, tracks & disperses all Council funds. Maintains bank accounts & financial records.

RECORDER

Duties and Responsibilities:
Records all proceedings at meetings. Ensures that all motions and their dispositions are recorded properly.

WARDEN

Duties and Responsibilities:
Sets up the chamber for all Council meetings. Procures and safeguards all degree supplies. Sets up the chamber for degree ceremonies. Provides refreshments for all events.

LECTURER

Duties and Responsibilities:
Appointed by the Grand Knight. Responsible for educational and entertainment programs for members. Conducts Good of the Order portion on meetings.

Prepare and publish a comprehensive Service Program plan and distribute it to the State Officers, how to maintain a strong membership through active councils. Encourage and motivate all councils to help their communities, churches, and youth at all levels. Make sure that all Council programs are properly conducted. Communions, continue to grow stronger and that the Knights of Columbus will become more visible to the public.

COMMUNITY DIRECTOR

Duties and Responsibilities:
To look for something that is needed and workable in the community, meets the members’ interests and the council’s resources. Other types of activities that could be attempted or adopted include: Promoting Pro-Life efforts by displaying materials. Sponsor a meeting for a presentation by law enforcement on the issues of the community or issues facing them today. Visit patients in hospitals or nursing homes or provide transportation to family or friends to visit.

Duties and Responsibilities:
To conduct programs and activities that aid in rebuilding the family spirit from within, making it vital and strong enough to resist society’s ills. To encourage members and their families to choose as their model the Holy Family, copying their attitude of interdependence, sharing and respect for authority. To encourage communications and routines which involve family members within their own homes as well as bringing families together in social and recreational events in the community and stimulate togetherness within family units. To work to strengthen family life and nourish wholesome home life through the sponsorship of activities involving entire families on a scheduled and continuing basis.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Directs the council’s efforts toward the recruitment of new members to the council. The Membership Director should to ensure the pastor’s approval of the Knights involvement in the parish and develop structured membership drives, open houses at least once a quarter. Should utilize team members to prepare pulpit and church bulletin announcements as well as invitational letters to prospective candidates. Shall perform other membership duties as assigned by the Grand Knight.
